My Daughter’s Flower Patch grows specialty cut flowers to bring joy and happiness into our community.

Our love for fresh cut flowers began in the summer of 2023 when we planted a few varieties alongside our vegetables. As the flowers began to bloom, it quickly became the highlight of our afternoons to head out to the garden with Lillian, our oldest, and gather small bouquets together. It was something we all looked forward to, and every evening, we’d walk through the garden, eager to see how things were coming along.

That winter, as I reflected on what truly brought our family joy, it became clear that growing flowers was something we wanted to focus on more. What started as a small idea quickly blossomed into a bigger plan—why not grow enough to sell bouquets at a roadside stand for fun?

During the spring, we turned patches of grass into flower beds, started seeds, and planted everything together. Lillian was involved in every step, eager to learn and help wherever she could. She fell in love with the process, just like we did. By the time summer rolled around, we had expanded to three 40-foot rows of flowers. Meanwhile, our youngest, Lexi, who was 16 months at the time, grew up surrounded by flowers, following in her big sister’s footsteps.

Now, both girls delight in going out to the garden each evening, exploring the rows and discovering new blooms. It’s been incredible to watch them grow alongside the flowers, learning about nature, gardening, and even a bit of business. This experience has been a gift for all of us, and we’re excited to continue expanding our garden—starting with eight more rows for 2025!
